Privacy policy
Effective October 26, 2026. This policy describes the personal
Prominence Minecraft Server Backup application maintained by the private
server's administrator.
Information used
The application backs up the private Minecraft server's world directory.
World files can contain player identifiers, player progress, inventories,
and other game-state information. The backup process uses Google OAuth
access and refresh tokens, backup filenames, and file checksums.
Purpose and access
Information is used to create, upload, verify, retain, and restore world
backups. Google Drive access uses the drive.file scope for
files created by, or explicitly opened with, the application. It is not
intended to read unrelated Google Drive files.
Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train
artificial-intelligence models. Use and transfer of information received
from Google APIs adheres to the
Google
API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Storage and service providers
World backups are processed on Microsoft Azure and uploaded to the
operator's Google Drive. OAuth credentials are stored on the server with
restricted file permissions. These providers process information as needed
to deliver their services. Backups are not publicly shared by this app.
Retention and deletion
Remote backups are normally retained for seven days; retention cleanup
runs as part of successful backups. Local backup copies are kept for a
shorter period. Failed runs or service interruptions can delay cleanup.
The operator can delete retained backups and remove the saved authorization.
The Google account owner can revoke access in
Google Account connections.
Revoking access stops future Google Drive operations but does not itself
delete existing backups.
